INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
Registrants of IDIBC must maintain adequate Professional Liability/Errors and Omissions Insurance (E&O) when practicing any functions of interior design in the public space.
- Minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per claim/$1,000,000 aggregate is recommended for Registered and Intern members.
- Proof of E&O Insurance (or approved waiver) is required by IDIBC with annual membership renewal.
- Individual registrants should consult an insurance broker or other legal advisors regarding risk of potential claims and coverage requirements.
Non-practicing active registrants of IDIBC who are not providing interior design services to the public as a part of their employment, nor outside of their current employment, must complete a written release waiver of E&O Insurance from IDIBC.
