IDIBC announces 2022 Awards of Excellence Recipients
— Vancouver, September 26, 2022. Interior Designer Institute of British Columbia (IDIBC) is excited to announce the winners of the 2022 Awards of Excellence. A total of 25 awards were given out in nine categories with designsolutions that span commercial and residential interiors.
The IDIBC Awards of Excellence have demonstrated the excellence and innovation of Registered Interior Designers in BC since 1981. The Interior Designer of the Year award was presented to Jennifer Hoffbeck RID for her stunning restaurant design, and Andrea McLean RID was awarded the prestigious Robert Ledingham Award for her residential design entitled, Big Sky Beach House. Chris Kourouniotis of CKDESIGN Associates, Chau Tran of MTA Urban Design Architecture Interior Design, and Inger Bartlett of Bartlett & Associates made up the panel of adjudicators.

IDIBC launches Year 2 of its Strategic Plan at BUILDEX Vancouver March 23-24
Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia (IDIBC) will release its Year 2 Strategic Plan initiatives, a milestone towards formal regulation as a profession, at BUILDEX Vancouver 2022 from March 23-24.
“We are now on the way towards establishing interior design as a fully recognized profession, with IDIBC providing regulatory oversight. The regulation of our profession will help protect and safeguard the public, and this next year will be a game-changer.”

IDIBC announces 2021 Awards of Excellence Recipients
— Vancouver, November 9, 2021. Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia (IDIBC) has announced the distinguished recipients of its 2021 Awards of Excellence. Open to all Registered Interior Designers (RID) in British Columbia, the Awards honour individuals that have submitted exceptional interior design projects. This year, of fifty submissions, the jury selected four recipients of its Awards of Excellence, ten Awards of Merit, and Interior Designer of the Year.
