The Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia was incorporated under the Societies Act of British Columbia on October 11, 1978, Certificate of Incorporation No. S3755.

Bylaw 15 sets out the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct that applies to all IDIBC members involved in the practice of interior design.
