From students to professionals, IDIBC welcomes new members – and getting in is a snap! To become a member, just follow the three steps below.

Step 1:

Choose the category of membership that best fits you:

Professional
Professional members are members who have successfully completed the NCIDQ exam and are actively involved in the field of interior design.

Provisional
Provisional members are members who have achieved education that aligns with or exceeds the requirements of NCIDQ’s route 4 (no less then 60 semester or 90 quarter credits of interior design coursework). By 2015 Provisional members must obtain a minimum education requirement of a bachelor degree in interior design; and by 2017 a bachelor degree from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation accredited school. Provisional members must be eligible to write the NCIDQ exam but may not have not completed all aspects of the exam. Provisional members are actively involved in the profession of interior design.

Student
Any student registered in Interior Design educational studies in BC is eligible for Student membership in IDIBC. The student may be studying interior design full- time or part-time. Once the student has graduated, they must comply with requirements, and apply for, membership in the appropriate category.  Being a student member of IDIBC does not imply that any other category of membership is guaranteed.
