Project Coordinator on the Design & Construction Team at A&W Food Services of Canada Inc. – One Year Maternity Leave Contract

Project Coordinator reports to Project Manager. Major responsibilities include:
•  providing direct, proactive and multi-faceted support in design, construction and project
    administration of new A&W restaurants;
•  facilitating successful project completion in turnkey and non-turnkey projects, from initial
    feasibility study through to permitting, tendering, construction, and deficiency management
•  preparing feasibility site plans and architectural drawings;
•  creating and modifying digital architectural renderings and custom signage graphics;
•  preparing equipment lists and cut-sheets for A&W supplied items;
•  tracking and implementing drawing and equipment changes; and
•  monitoring and communicating project progress against expected timelines

The candidate must possess:
    •  a strong drive for results and a high sense of personal accountability;
    •  ability to meet deadlines and budgets on multiple projects;
    •  ability to work well under pressure;
    •  collaborative, proactive, positive style and ability to work with minimal supervision;
    •  strong attention to detail and expertise in space planning and commercial design;
    •  expertise in AutoCAD and other design software;
    •  knowledge of commercial construction materials and practices;
    •  excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills;
    •  degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architectural Technology or Architecture; and
    •  at least 2 years’ relevant experience
