Instructor, Interior Design

Key Responsibilities:
•  Course development, class preparation, and evaluation of assignments, projects, and exams
•  Subject areas include technical drafting, digital graphics, and construction fundamentals


•  Participation in program meetings, departmental meetings and committees


•  Liaison with relevant industry representatives to ensure a strong relation exists with the
    program

Job Requirements:
•  Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or an Architectural Technologist Diploma
•  Minimum two years’ experience working with a current version of Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch
    Up in an interior design or   architectural application
•  Ability to quickly and confidently produce 2D drawings and 3D drawings
•  Residential and/or commercial interior design or architectural experience
•  Knowledge of contract documents drafting standards and building construction
•  Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
•  Ability to organize and communicate with high attention to detail
•  High level of general computer proficiency
•  Previous teaching experience
•  Working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and 20/20, and design related technologies
    currently used in industry

The candidate must submit a complete dossier including curriculum vitae plus the names and contact information of three references. The dossier should provide evidence of professional projects and teaching experience.


This is a Continuing Full-time Faculty appointment at the Vermilion campus, commencing in early August. Lakeland College offers an attractive remuneration & benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
