Benefits of Membership

Interior Designers of Canada:
IDIBC is a member association of this national organization.
IDC represents Canadian interior designers both nationally and internationally,
maintaining high standards for the profession.
Designation: Registered professional members of IDIBC may use the additional
designation of IDC.
Insurance: Members may take advantage of the national insurance program
for interior designers for Professional Liability, Home and Auto Insurance to
receive favourable group rates.
Professional Recognition:
Professional members in B.C. may use the title Registered
Interior Designer (R.I.D.).
Continuing Education:
IDIBC actively participates in vetting out and bringing forward applicable CEU courses for all members.
Awards of Excellence:
IDIBC sponsors an annual design competition
for its members. This competition is also open to AIBC members.
Seminars:
IDIBC actively participates in the steering committee that develops the
seminar program at the annual trade show, Design Northwest. This program
offers many interesting seminars and is accredited for CEU credits.
Programs:
Informative and educational programs are offered to our membership on
a regular basis.
Referral Service:
IDIBC offers a professional member referral service to the
general public.
Newsletter:
One annual printed newsletter plus three e:newsletters are published for the benefit of all members as an information source.
E:Blasts: Ten e:blasts per year informing the membership of the latest information and news are issued for the benefit of all members.
Membership Certificate:
All professional members receive a membership certificate
for framing. Directory: All members receive a current copy of the membership
directory for IDIBC.
Influence:
Gain a voice in the IDIBC by becoming involved with the Committees
or Board of Management.
